Dimanche matin, Émilie et son père go for a walk à la campagne. Ils leave le village passing in front of une petite église, puis follow un chemin qui goes gently uphill vers une colline.
After the rain during the night, il y a beaucoup de boue sur le chemin. Ils arrivent bientôt nearune ferme. Derrière une barrière, ils voient des vaches dans un field et, a little further away, une vieille grange.
Le chemin continue as far as la forêt. Émilie aime cet endroit parce qu’il est quiet et qu’you can only hear les oiseaux.
Coming out of the forest, ils go down towards le fleuve. Pour get to the other side, ils cross un vieux pont made of stone.
De l’autre côté du pont, ils stop quelques minutes pour regarder la campagne avant de set off again along the path vers le village.
