Welcome to the World of Boersk
A Conlang Based on Germanic Languages.
What began as a linguistic experiment became something we never originally intended to build.
Boersk started with grammar: a way of exploring case systems, verb structures, word formation and the deeper mechanics of how languages work. Its vocabulary was developed from Germanic linguistic roots, its grammar tested through use, and its canon refined through a long process of human judgement, AI-assisted analysis, failure, correction and iteration.
But somewhere along the way, the language began to suggest more than sentences.
Words started carrying assumptions about home, nature, obligation, protection, justice, memory and community. Distinctions in the lexicon began to imply distinctions in the way its imagined speakers might understand the world. From those ideas came customs, stories, songs, places, beliefs, institutions and eventually a culture of its own.
So Boersk is now more than a constructed language.
It is an ongoing experiment in what can happen when language, culture and artificial intelligence are allowed to develop together — but within a carefully controlled human-made canon.
The world you are about to enter was not designed first and then given a language.
In this case, the language came first, and an entirely new world followed.
Here you can explore the language itself, the people imagined to speak it, the stories they tell, the values that shape their society, their relationship with the natural world, their music, literature, mythology and the growing landscape that has emerged around them.
This project started as a linguistic experiment.
It became a cultural thought experiment.
But creative word-building remains its core.
It is now difficult to determine where one of these goals ends and another begins.
